CURRICULUM/COMMUNITY DAYS

At Mawsley, we love to involve the community in our learning. Throughout the year, we love to invite different members of the community in to our school to share our fantastic work. In the past we have organised; Grandparents Day, Careers Day, Community Art Exhibitions, Remembrance Day and Writing Days. Click on the following links for information about our most recent curriculum/community days.

Easter Bonnets 2022

It’s that time of year again when Foundation Stage and Key Stage One are getting excited to celebrate Easter with a bonnet parade.

World Book Day 2022

Our children and staff have had a wonderful day, celebrating 25 years of World Book Day! Many came dressed as their favourite book characters and others wore big smiles, as everyone joined in the WBD fun!

Having been introduced to our virtual author visitor, 'Miss Page Turner', children spent the afternoon helping her out of a pickle, by creating amazing book characters for her book.

Mawsley Bake Off

What a fabulous week of creativity, inspiration and excellence we have had this week at Mawsley Primary School. Children have shown their abilities to put their DT learning to practise by designing and making some fabulous cakes.

The bake sale at the end of the day raised an astounding £275! Thank you so much to everyone who supported the bake sale.

A Journey through Geography

We hope you enjoyed visiting the classrooms to see all the work we have been doing for Geography .

A Journey through Maths

We hope you enjoyed visiting the classrooms to see how learning in maths progresses across the year groups.

Winter through Art

We have been looking at winter through art, design and music.  It has been fabulous to see so much creativity going on across the school in all sorts of forms.  Here is just a small selection of the work produced by our children.

A journey through History

Our journey through History evening showcased an amazing range of learning from all eras of history.  Did you see the houses from Pudding Lane, Greek Gods, toys from the past, wartime Christmas cards and the Egyptian mummy?

Careers Day

Wow - what an amazing morning we had at school on Monday as 21 different speakers from a huge range of the careers gave inspirational talks on the world of work and their journeys into their various fields of industry! We are so lucky at Mawsley to be in a community with such a wealth of amazing occupations.
