In September 2023 we proudly opened our first class in ‘The Hub’ our SEND provision for children with EHCPs where cognition and learning and communication and interaction are their primary needs. In September 2025 we will be welcoming children into the fourth class within our SEND provision, taking us to a capacity of 36 pupils and are looking for the next member of our teaching team to take this step with us.
We are looking for a caring and inspirational person, to join our happy team, from September 2025, on a full time (part time would be considered) permanent contract (Main Pay Scale). Located within a modern village just outside Kettering, we are a one and a half form entry primary school, which is arranged into mixed year group classes.

Teaching Assistant - SEND Unit Provision

In September 2023 we proudly opened our first class in ‘The Hub’ our SEND provision for children with EHCPs where cognition and learning and communication and interaction are their primary needs. In September 2024 we opened two more classes and in September 2025 we will be welcoming children into the fourth class within our SEND provision and are looking for the next members of our support staff team to take this step with us.
We wish to recruit two part-time SEN Teaching Assistants or one fulltime SEN Teaching Assistant to support the children within this specialist provision. The post will involve 1:1 work, support within the classroom and some group work. The appointed person may be required to assist children in their self-care requirements and supporting part of their lunch time.

Our school opened in September 2004 with four classes and 87 children on roll. It was originally built to accommodate 210 children in seven classrooms. We currently have 295 children on roll with one reception class, three mixed year 1 and 2 classes, three mixed year 3 and 4 classes and three mixed year 5 and 6 classes. In September 2023, our first class within the specialist provision opened with capacity for 9 children, our expansion in September 2024 enabled us to teach 27 children within the unit, with our final expansion being added in September 25 enabling us to reach our capacity of 36 children.
We are able to offer a modern working environment with good quality resources including interactive whiteboards, a laptop and tablet trolley, good sized hall, a meeting room, shared areas and large school grounds. We have a friendly, enthusiastic and very committed staff team of teachers and teaching assistants.
The school is located in Mawsley Village, which is situated just outside Kettering, off the A43 Kettering to Northampton Road. We pride ourselves on being a happy and welcoming school with high expectations and achievement and one who develop good links with parents and the local community. Our Ofsted report, published in July 2022, supports this by stating:
‘Leaders are ambitious for all pupils to succeed in their learning and in life. This includes pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Pupils live up to these expectations. They achieve well in the calm environment that leaders have created.’

Lunchtime Supervisor Vacancy
We are looking for an enthusiastic reliable, caring, friendly but firm, cheerful person to join our team. To supervise and assist our children during lunchtimes; inside the school and on the playground.
You will supervise the children eating their dinner, encouraging healthy eating with good table manners, helping any that has difficulties and supporting a positive environment.
You will supervise the children on the playground, leading activities, organising and encouraging them to join in with playground games, ensuring wellbeing, safety and good behaviour, dealing with minor injuries such as cuts and grazes.
The hours of work are:
5 hours a week; 12.15pm to 1.15pm – Monday to Friday term time only (38 weeks per year). On a fixed term contract until 31st August 2026. You will be paid on NJC Grade C, Scale Point 2 - £23656 per annum, paid pro rata. The hourly rate is £12.26 per hour.
