Our desire is to create a safe, happy and motivating environment where children are able to develop their knowledge and skills, make good progress and achieve high standards through shared expectations.
Our aim is that every child is challenged to achieve their personal best.

At Mawsley School we promote an ethos where all children are challenged and supported to achieve their personal best. Through the promotion of independence, inquisitiveness and determination, children are empowered to want to be the best they can be. Children at Mawsley are entitled to an education where their needs are met, and they are provided opportunities to gain the skills and knowledge to grow into young people who contribute positively to society and succeed in life. Life skills and social skills will be embedded to ensure children are well-prepared when they move on to their next stage of education.
Each year, our children create a Wishing Tree; this displays the hopes and dreams that they wish to achieve through the values that we instil in our learners.
We aim:

Every year we choose new names for our school teams. This enables us to learn about heroes from all areas of the world, promoting diversity, awareness and understanding. This year, we have chosen our learning heroes, who will serve our school and our children for the next seven years. These heroes are all in some way local to the Kettering / Northamptonshire area and represent a range of talents and diverse role models. Children learn about these individuals during opportunities such as assemblies.

The three principles of: 'Be Safe, Be Ready, Be Respectful' transcends across all areas of learning and behaviour, which is why these were chosen as our core school rules. These qualities help our children to achieve their personal best, whether that is academically or socially, and embed important life skills for the future.
The words: 'Be Brave, Be Kind, Be Yourself' were decided by our children. Our staff believe that these attitudes reflect the way that our children approach learning and develop into young citizens of the future.
