rom 1st September 2023 Mawsley C.P School created Kettering’s first primary SEN resourced unit provision, alongside the current mainstream education offer.
Resourced Provisions are where places are reserved at a mainstream school for pupils with a specific type of SEN, who may access mainstream classes, but require a base and some specialist facilities within the school for the majority of their learning.
The children allocated a place at our unit provision will all have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) where their prime areas of need are communication and interaction and/or cognition and learning.
This can affect their:
Any child with SEND who currently attends Mawsley School (mainstream), with or without an EHCP, do so, with appropriate support in place. Children who attend the Hub provision all have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan). Decisions about the children who are allocated a Hub provision place is made by a local authority panel in consultation with Miss Harris.
What school uniform are the children required have?
We encourage all children who attend ‘The Hub’ to attend wearing Mawsley school uniform as listed below. We understand there may be items where you would like adjustments, due to the needs of your child, and ask you to discuss this with the SENCO, Miss Andrea Cox, to agree what these might be.
Our school uniform can be purchased at Karl Sports. Karl Sports have a shop in Kettering where you can purchase the uniform or it can be ordered on online.
