Our Personal Development Team oversee the teaching, learning and curriculum for Computing, Personal, Social, Health Education (PSHE), Physical Education (PE) and Art and Design Technology (DT). The personal qualities and characteristics that children acquire within these subjects help our young citizens to develop the British values of: Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance. These attributes help children to become responsible and employable citizens of the future. Within this curriculum, memory moments encourage children to recall previous learning, so that this information is better retained and built upon in consecutive lessons.
Within our Hub provision, our themed learning includes Personal, Social and Emotional Development that encompasses the subcategories: Making and Building Relationships, Managing Feelings and Behaviour, including Managing Self and Self Regulation, and Health and Self Care. Physical Development includes Movement and Space (Gross Motor and Fine Motor). Art and Design Technology combines key skills relating to music, art, and design that teach children to manipulate and apply a range of tools and techniques such as malleable materials and a various art mediums such as paint and crayons.
Curriculum overviews for our mainstream, EYFS and Hub curriculums, can be found on the relevant curriculum pages for these areas.
